Local Sightings (of me)

I love being “spotted” at the library with a bag full of Philip Roth novels. It is so much better than being spotted at Target buying fake nails. One Saturday afternoon I was at the library contemplating checking out the new biography of the Hilton sisters and I ran into my friend Abbey, who was headed to the basement to peruse old New York Times articles on microfiche. I will never be that cool.

by peruse do you mean “examine thoroughly”?

  2. I did mean peruse as in “examine thoroughly,” but I guess that only makes sense if Abbey camped out in the Jefferson Madison Regional Library basement for a few years. That would quickly take her from cool to creepy.

  3. It’s sad that I just discovered I can comment on my own blog. It’s also sad that I comment on my own blog.

  4. today I woke up at four somewhere in wisconsin, only seemingly able to move my thumb to turn on the tv. After watching something with Mo’Nique on oxygen (the cinematic climax: a hair show!), I moved it on over to disney to watch the princess diaries 2: a royal engagement. that’s so raven just came on, gotta go.
